Schunk General Carbon Ltd. is a joint venture company founded on 1st March, 1996 under the co-operation of General Carbon Company and Schunk Kohlenstofftechnik GmbH, Germany. We are responsible for the sales activities in Hong Kong/China/Macau markets.

Since the foundation of General Carbon Company in 1976, we have been one of the leading manufacturers of carbon and graphite product in Hong Kong. Our products cover a wide variety of applications for mechanical seals, industrial motors, fractional and sub-fractional horse power motors, power tools, generators, home appliance motors, railways and tractions, automotives, high temperature etc. We supply finished goods such as carbon brushes for all kinds of motors, carbon sealing products, ceramic products, bushings, copper/silver alloy contacts, carbon contacts, air compressor parts, elevator parts, continuous casting dies/moulds, EDM graphites.

In fulfillment to the necessities of domestic and China markets, a new production factory namely Schunk General Carbon (Panyu) Co Ltd. was set up in mid 1996 in Panyu of Goungdong province. We started production since early 1998, aiming at strengthening our competitiveness by lowering our production costs.

Having accumulated over 20 years' production experience, bringing in Germany technology, implementation of advanced production equipments, high calibre management team and well experienced technicians, we have achieved a high level of motivation in encouraging our stability.

Schunk Germany was established in 1913. The group presently employs approximately 6,120 people worldwide and has 77 companies in 23 countries. The engage in R&D and raw material production as well as manufacturing carbon and graphite application for high volume users.
